I did say that what started as documentation of my creative process as an artist was soon recognized as a holistic journey, since the life of an artist does not separate art, from life. They are interdependent. Change in one affects the other. Let me explain - It is not unusual for me to wait for a student to arrive to class, or wait for them to pay attention, or wait for them to disengage from their media to start "learning," but when I signed up for Instagram they were all there waiting for me. The were among my first followers. Some of them even showed up on a Sunday to support my effort on Instagram "live."
"So please ask yourself:
What would I do if I weren't afraid?
And then go do it."
- Sheryl Sandberg
An "art high five" from a student on Monday. They have outgrown me in some ways, but they still need what I have to offer...as long as I stay relevant.
